Who’s it for?
Any dog or cat that is determined by our veterinarians to have an injury.
Appointments are required for surgeries.
How much does it cost?
$350 - $650
There is a pre-surgical consultation fee of $20.
We provide surgical treatments for a wide range of veterinary health issues including:
General Surgery:
- Amputation (removal of a toe, tail, ear, front or rear limb)
- Mass removal (removal of cancerous and non-cancerous tumors, masses, and lumps)
- Hernia repair (surgery to close a hole in the wall of the abdomen)
- Splenectomy (removal of the spleen)
- Abscesses (draining and treatment of infected wounds)*
- Laceration repair (“stitches” for cuts and wounds)*
- Femoral head ostectomy (removal of the head and neck of the femur for the purpose of addressing hip fractures, dislocations, severe arthritis, or Legg-Perthes disease)***
- Stenotic nares correction (removal of a portion of the tissue over the outer-most region of the nostrils to widen the nostrils and allow for more effective airflow)***
*Wound abscess treatments and laceration repairs are priced starting at $150.
Ears:
- Aural hematoma (surgery to reduce swelling of the outer ear)
- Pinna amputation (removal of the outer ear)
- TECA-BO (Total ear canal ablation and bulla osteotomy)
Eyes:
- Cherry Eye (surgery to correct a prolapse of the gland of the 3rd eyelid)
- Entropion (surgery to correct inward turning of the eyelid)
- Ectropion (surgery to correct outward turning of the eyelid)
- Enucleation (eye removal)
- Eyelid mass removal
Reproductive/Urogenital:
- Vulvoplasty (surgery to remove excess tissue folding around the vulva)
- Pyometra (surgery to remove an infected uterus) - see also urgent care

- Spay/Neuter (surgery to remove reproductive organs) (available at all clinic locations) - see also Spay/Neuter
- Cystotomy (removal of stones from the bladder in stable patients)
- Scrotal mass removal / ablation (removal of the scrotum) in dogs
- Mammary mass removal in dogs
Gastrointestinal:
- Foreign body removal (surgical removal of ingested items from stomach or intestines)
- Gastropexy (surgical procedure to prevent bloat in large breed dogs)
***The Femoral head ostectomy, Stenotic nares correction, and foreign body procedures are only performed at our Austin Dental and Surgical Center.

Cardiac Evaluation for Dogs and Cats
A modified cardiac workup, including in-house chest x-rays, designed for any grade heart murmur patient who needs a dental cleaning or surgery.
