The Beginning of the Journey
DJ Freckles was first evaluated for heartworms at Emancipet in March 2024. She began her series of injections in April at our Dental and Surgical Center in Austin, bravely facing each step of the treatment with the support of the caring team of veterinarians and technicians at Emancipet. Her journey started through the Austin Bulldog Rescue, who brought her to us seeking the best care for this lovable pup.
A Happy Ending and New Beginnings
By June 25, DJ Freckles was officially declared heartworm negative—a joyous occasion celebrated by everyone who had been part of her journey. But the good news doesn’t stop there. DJ Freckles has found her forever home, having been adopted by a loving family who will continue to care for her.
