Emancipet serves over 260,000 client visits annually across the communities we serve. Each visit is a pet family working to give their pets a happy, healthy, and long life. One of those visits was from Chuck and their human, Christiana.

Every year, we strive to raise the bar, and 2025 was no exception. We finished the year with 58,993 spay and neuter surgeries, beating last year’s record by 5,000! Patients like Mishka, along with their families like Cristina, are what made this past year life-saving and record-breaking.

For the month of love, Emancipet’s Tails of Love Pet Photo Contest celebrates the special bond between you and your pets – while supporting affordable veterinary care. Pet families everywhere shared their favorite pictures of their pets in themed backgrounds, purr-fect poses, and big smiles.

Emancipet strives to provide every pet family with access to high quality veterinary care they can afford. Pet families like Jennifer with her pup, Bingo. “Emancipet did a great job walking us through the treatment process and reassuring our anxieties about heartworm treatment,” said Jennifer.

This year at Emancipet has been extraordinary. In my first year as CEO, I’ve seen firsthand how expanding our core services, creating ease for clients to access services at our clinics, and providing life-changing care for pets is only possible because of our incredible community.

Fluffy recently received care at Emancipet’s Austin Dental and Surgical Center for the removal of a tumor. “I can’t thank you enough — from the bottom of my heart — for saving Fluffy. You gave our family hope in a moment when I felt lost, and I will be forever grateful,” said Ruta.

For many veterinarians, finding balance between purpose, growth, and personal well-being can feel out of reach. At Emancipet, our staff don’t have to choose, they can have all three. Dr. Samantha Cook, Lead Veterinarian at our Houston Monroe Plaza clinic, knows this firsthand.

When Paula adopted her kitten, Sully, in 2020, finding affordable veterinary care during the pandemic wasn’t easy. When Paula found Emancipet, the team was able to ease her nerves around Sully’s surgery.

The Grey Muzzle Organization has awarded a grant to Emancipet ensuring more older dogs in our community receive the love, comfort, and medical care they need in their golden years.
