Every year, we strive to raise the bar, and 2025 was no exception. We finished the year with 59,000 spay and neuter surgeries, beating last year’s record by 5,000! Patients like Mishka, along with their families like Cristina, are what made this past year life-saving and record-breaking.
Cristina found herself in a position that no pet parent wants to be in. Her American Bullie, Mishka, became ill overnight. By the next morning, she was diagnosed with Pyometra—a life threatening infection of the uterus—the next morning. The quotes that she was receiving for Mishka to undergo emergency surgery were costly. She began looking for a place where she wouldn’t have to worry about cost so that she could focus on Mishka’s healing journey. That search led her to Emancipet’s Roosevelt Clinic in Philadelphia.
