For the month of love, Emancipet’s Tails of Love Pet Photo Contest celebrates the special bond between you and your pets – while supporting affordable veterinary care. Pet families everywhere shared their favorite pictures of their pets in themed backgrounds, purr-fect poses, and big smiles.
You helped raise over $3,000 through entries, votes and sponsorship (Super sweet shoutout to Susie Cakes Bakery!) to help keep veterinary care low-cost for pet families. While every pet made us swoon, three pets took the lead and stole our hearts! Meet our 2026 Tails of Love Photo Contest winners!
Grand Prize Winner: Ferris Mewller

All dressed up and ready for his Valentine’s Date, 6-year old Ferris Mewller joined his pet parents pack around Valentine’s Day 2020, just a few weeks before the world shut down.
Ferris adores his dog sisters so much so that he is now a self proclaimed “catdog”. Ferris also has a special place in his heart for Emancipet as a former patient in his younger years. “We know firsthand how valuable [Emancipet is] to the community.”
Second Place: Roma & Chanell

Don’t be fooled by their small stature! These two Pomeranians fill the entire home with so much love! Since joining the family, these two have been inseparable. You’ll find them wherever their pet parents are, making them laugh with their playful energy and comforting them with the best cuddles.
Roma and Chanell turn ordinary days into moments that truly stick, showing up with unmatched joy and affection. “They have an incredible way of sensing our moods and reminding us every day what unconditional love truly means. They are not just pets to us; they are family, our emotional support, and the heart of our home. Life is simply happier, warmer, and more meaningful with them by our side.”
Third Place: Shasha “Pretty Girl” Peacock

10-year-old Sasha “Pretty Girl” Peacock is the epitome of “who saved who”, leaving a rocky situation and joining her new family 6 years ago and completely filling her new home with joy.
When she joined her new family, her family saw that she needed immediate dental care that ultimately led to her being left with just five teeth and a gentle spirit that never wavered. “I realized that Sasha and I actually rescued each other! Because compassionate, accessible veterinary care exists, like at Emancipet, dogs like Sasha get a second chance. She truly is pure love, resilience, and gratitude.”
Thank You to Everyone Who Participated!
We’re so grateful to all the pet families who shared their beloved companions with us. Every photo showed us just how much unconditional love there is for pets and the joy and happiness that come from keeping pet families healthy and together.
Congratulations again to Ferris Mewller, Roma & Chanell, and Sasha “Pretty Girl” Peacock—our 2026 Tails of Love winners!
