In 2024, Emancipet’s network of clinics jointly performed 50,000 spay/neuter surgeries in a single year—a record for us. And at the heart of this milestone is a special cat named Fidget.
Fidget’s journey began when she was found sleeping in a flowerpot outside Sandra’s daughter’s house. Sandra decided to give Fidget the loving home she deserved. “I immediately knew I had to get her checked out to make sure she was healthy,” Sandra recalls. But finding accessible and trustworthy care for Fidget proved challenging.
That’s when Sandra turned to Emancipet. “After I felt like I had called all around, Emancipet called me back and assured me they would take care of her,” she says. From then on, Emancipet has been Fidgets regular veterinarian.
On Friday, December 13, Sandra brought Fidget to our Roosevelt Clinic in Philadelphia for her spay surgery—unknowingly marking a historic moment for our organization.
Sandra’s trust in Emancipet and her gratitude for the care Fidget received speak to the heart of our mission. “I love how they called me and assured me she went through the surgery and was doing well. I trust them, and I really feel that for Emancipet it truly is a labor of love,” she shared.
